The department of Animals, Science, and Society undertakes research on a vast variety of animals like farm-, domestic-, and laboratory animals. These areas create the basis for the department’s teaching program for veterinary students and also the special courses for those who are involved in working with laboratory animals.
In light of the above the department has an important social role to play not only regarding public awareness but also has an advisory task towards both social-, and governmental organizations.
